L’Ametlla de Mar

L’Ametlla de Mar is a fishing village where the sunrises and sunsets are reflected in the sea becoming an unforgettable and unique spectacle, images that will remain etched in your memory forever. A typical Mediterranean coastal charming village traditionally dedicated to fishing, where seafood is the essence of the local gastronomy. Thanks to the closeness of the Ebro Delta, fish and seafood have a special flavour here. From our campsite you have access to the seafront promenade of L’Ametlla de Mar, from where you can walk easily and visit the village, the fishing port and the fish market.

Pixavaques, a privileged cove

The campsite surrounds the beach of Pixavaques. A small idyllic cove located in the heart of L’Ametlla de Mar which you can reach on foot directly from the campsite. This beach of fine sand and only 65 metres long offers good services, lifeguards, toilets, showers and access for people with reduced mobility.

In addition, the presence of posidonia oceanica indicates the excellent quality of the sea water, ideal for snorkelling and scuba diving lovers.

Ebro Delta

Less than 30 kilometres from L’Ametlla de Mar is the Ebro Delta Natural Park, one of the most important aquatic habitats in the western Mediterranean. This unusual natural space included in the Terres de l’Ebre Biosphere Reserve offers many possibilities for hiking, cycling or horseback riding, birdwatching and swimming along endless beaches. You can also practice kayaking, kitesurfing, paddle surfing (SUP) and many other water and outdoor sports.

Nearby activities

A few kilometres away from L’Ametlla de Mar there are plenty of things to do: picking mushrooms, tasting the typical gastronomy of the Ebro Delta, tasting the best wines from Terra Alta or sailing on the river Ebro in a typical boat from Tortosa or Benifallet, visiting the Roman city of Tarragona or Salou‘s leisure area.

And if what you want is family fun, the Port Aventura World amusement park, with Ferrari Land and Caribe Aquatic Park, is another great option.
